Colonia, Montevideo, & Salto, Uruguay

We made a last minute decision to head over to Uruguay and check out the small little country. It was a good choice, such a nice change from dry Argentina to green everywhere! We really enjoyed our time here even though we blasted through it. We spent 2 hours in Colonia, 1 day in Montevideo, and overnight bus to Salto where we spent one day visiting the hot springs before we took a ferry back over to Argentina. Whew! It was super fun though and we really liked the vibes we got from the country!

Another geocache! I look thrilled... haha

Just a sign that says Uruguay, horray we are here!

Our virtual geocache, first one but it was kind of fun!

Colonia is known for all its old cobblestone streets and houses. It was really fun to see all these deserted really neat streets!

This is the picture that is always representing Colonia, its kind of funny to have the same one but it is really neat!

So many totals and numbers in any currency you might have!

Views of Montevideo

Neighborhood market

Barrio lovin' haha

We went and tried the famous steak (along with all the cruise ship people). It was really neat to see it all laid out but we liked the steak in Argentina better.

We bought a little painting from this man, so fun!

This was the strangest thing ever... these 2 guards were just standing here protecting this box of ashes under the main plaza. No one was there so it was really strange!

This bus terminal was huge! Overnight bus ride yippee! ;)

Hot springs in Salto, so nice!

Big pumps!

Would be such a fun place to come for a birthday party or something

Massage tables, I couldn't drag Landon away from these!

Hot water massage :)

Wednesday night meeting with these 2 ladies. So sweet!

This guy was just cool
