La Paz, Bolivia

City lights

La Paz is a city built on cliffs, incredible!

There are only two ladies in La Paz and one was out of town when we were there so we only met with one, Mary. It was very special! She is such a sweet lady!

Don't look at my socks haha its a new style!

These eggs are sold in the market. You can buy them like this or boiled and ready to eat. They advertise them as perfect for kids lunches haha

This is the witches market. They sell llama fetuses because they believe it is good luck. Some people bury them under their houses before they build. Pretty interesting.

Our time in La Paz was mostly catching up and working on websites. I was not feeling too good so it was a good R&R and pretty nice hostel!

The shoe cleaners are part of a union so they all wear ski masks. Its a little scary to see all these men sitting around with ski masks on. But I guess everyone is used to it.

Poor Bambi :( haha people in the states would not like this sign!

Tour of the market on our free walking tour!

Our tour guide. He was really informative and funny. We really liked it!

So hard to even describe the seriousness of some of these pictures. Sometimes we are so excited to get a cool picture of an indigenous lady and then sit back and remember how poor these people are. It's a real reality check.

The presidents house

The tour ends at the highest hotel for a nice view of the city and opportunity to repel down the hotel wall. Landon had to do it of course :)

Bacon man went first.

Then spiderman!

He was never even trembling, I would have been so scared! So brave!

Agghh!! 180 feet high!

Here is the hotel from a distance
