Cochabamba, Bolivia

Cochabamba is known to have the largest statue of Christ in the world. It is up on a hill overlooking the whole city. We took the tram up to the top and it was a beautiful view!

A lot of locals come up to worship by Christ

These girls in pink were dancing in preparation for the carnival

Supposed to be a geocache here...

Those braids. All the women wear two long braids with a pom pom attachment at the bottom.

Riding in the tram :)

We went to a museum after. This is a necklace made out of monkey teeth.

The workers stopped by for a quick visit before they headed out to Villa Tunari. Lydia is a local worker and Melinda is from the Philippines

Hmmm snail shells for sale at the grocery store??

The home of Eloy and Adela where we stayed :)

Landon playing with their son Pablo

Adela bought some local juices for us to try in the morning for breakfast. Very yummy!

Pablo only likes to drink milk

Adela, Eloy, son Pablo, daughter Abigail, and cook/nanny Esperanza

At the bus terminal

The sweetest couple ever! They waited up for us the prior night because we were just arriving from the jungle where we were visiting the workers. We were in the back of a truck so they were so worried! It was so sweet!

Numbered stoplights, its the best thing ever!

At the check points, these ladies all come running to the buses with their goods to sell. It's really funny because they are all fighting for customers.

Getting ready for the carnival

Our bus blew a tire on the way to La Paz...

So we all had to wait while it changed, but it was fast! 30 minutes and we were good to go! (Pictures from the jungle will come soon, we are behind on those so it will be a little out of order)
